There were 65 quarts made on August 29! 
More hands will be needed on Saturday, September 12 to make enough quarts to fill the orders. Order Deadline has been extended to Wednesday,  September 9!

​CALLING ALL SINGERS!!!

If you enjoy singing - NOW IS THE TIME to join the Salem Choir.  Salem Choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:00PM in the Choir Loft, beginning on September 9th. 
The choir participates in regular Sunday worship services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.  In addition to music for Sunday services, the choir presents special Christmas and Easter cantatas.

Interested singers can talk to a choir member or contact Jon Gilliland for additional information.

Our Women’s Life Group continues to meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:30–8:00 p.m. in the Chapel. All women are welcome!

Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Building Event

Please join the local Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build as they partner with Bunks Across America to participate in a nationwide bed build on Sept.12th.  Two time slots are available, 8:30-11:30 and noon to 3:00.  If  interested, please email Karla Breister [email protected].  No experience needed and it is a great event that helps our local children have a bed to sleep in.

September Mission of the Month
 SALEM MISSION TEAM FINANCIAL SUPPORT
This October, Salem’s Mission Team will be heading to Red Bird Mission located in Beverly, Kentucky. Our mission is to help defray the cost for our team members. Please support Salem’s outreach program by making your contribution to:  MISSION TRIP. Red Bird Mission was founded in 1921 in the southeastern corner of Kentucky to provide physical, educational and spiritual needs of Appalachia.  There are opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to participate.  If you’d like to be on the October Mission Team, contact Mark Runke. 
Some examples of work projects are window replacement, small room additions, painting, building porches or ramps and grounds keeping.  Light-duty work is available such as office work, craft and community store helpers, and recycling.
